Missions and Tasks
Under the principles of the Petersberg Declaration of 1992, EUROMARFOR may be assigned three types of missions, specifically:
- Humanitarian and Rescue Missions;
- Peacekeeping Missions;
- Combat Force Missions in Crisis Management, including Peacemaking Missions.

Within the framework of such missions, EUROMARFOR may accomplish a wide spectrum of tasks, ranging from humanitarian and disaster relief missions to embargo enforcement. Some of these tasks are as follows:

• “Power Projection”;
• “Force Projection”;
• “Protection of Sea Lines of Communication”;
• “Humanitarian and Disaster Relief”;
• “Intelligence and Surveillance”;
• “Non-Combatant Evacuation”;
• “Maritime Interdiction Operations”;
• “Sea Control Operations”;
• “Mine Countermeasures Operations”.
