EUROMARFOR Sub-Working Group meeting in Rome - Italy

EUROMARFOR is activated for the first time this year in the Gulf of Guinea, from the 10^th to the 13^th of April.

The EUROMARFOR Task Group was activated today until the 27^th of May, for 50 consecutive days, in order to participate on three major MCM exercises that will be conducted by the French, Spanish and Italian Navy (OLIVES NOIRES 24, SPANISH MINEX 24, ITALIAN MINEX 24).

SEA BIT 24-1 exercise takes place with the participation of the EUROMARFOR four nations Maritime Operations Centers 

The Commander of EUROMARFOR, VAdm. Aurelio. DE CAROLIS, met with the Chairman of the European Union Military Committee and representatives of the European External Action Service and European Union Military Staff, in Bruxelles.

EUROMARFOR activation for Exercise DIVEX 24

EUROMARFOR SWG 23-2 meeting 

EUROMARFOR was activated for the second time this year in the Gulf of Guinea. The ships FS Ventose, ITS Foscari and SPS Tornado are in the region improving the interoperability of the EUROMARFOR naval units and showing the commitment of the EUROMARFOR for supporting EU Coordinated Maritime Presences in the Gulf of Guinea.

The EUROMARFOR flag was hoisted at the Italian Fleet Headquarters, during a simple but full of significance ceremony.  

On the 26^th of September 2023, took place the ceremony for the changeover of Command of the European Maritime Force (EUROMARFOR) between the Commander of the Spanish fleet, Admiral Eugenio Diaz Del Rio (outgoing) and the Commander in Chief of the Italian Fleet, Admiral Aurelio De Carolis (incoming), on board ITS GARIBALDI moored in the port of Civitavecchia.
