OPV Relampago (Offshore Patrol Vessel) is joining the Operation ATALANTA to fight against piracy off the coast of Somalia. On this way the EUROMARFOR will be reinforced during the inter-monsoon period with this Spanish recently commissioned vessel configured as Oceanic Patrol Boat. She is the third of the "Meteoro" class ships and she will conduct her mission with a crew of 80 sailors, including the SH-60B helicopter assitant personnel and the boarding team marine detachment .
