Crest

The crest of EUROMARFOR has the shape of a shield which represents the defender.

Iberian shaped coat of arms, on a field of blue, an olive branch with leaves in green crossed upon a silver sword with a golden clasp; in the center, a black anchor , in the upper field, four golden five-point stars in a sector; in the bottom field, three silver wave-form lines.

The crest of EUROMARFOR has the shape of a shield which represents the defender.

The blue color of the background represents the truth and royalty and is a reminder of the European Union flag.

The four golden stars represent the four founding Nations : France, Italy, Portugal and Spain.

The sword represents the justice and military honour.

The olive branch represents peace and concordance and is a reminder of EUROMARFOR missions : Humanitarian, Peacekeeping or Peace Making missions for crisis managements.

The wawes represent the maritime environment common to the four Nations.

The anchor represents the hope and symbolizes the maritime force.
