Commemorations of the National Day of Portugal highlighted by a military parade and by the President’s traditional speech.

During the National Day of Portugal, Camões, Portuguese Communities and Armed Forces, which is celebrated this year in Lisbon, the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, addressed a speech to the Portuguese People and assisted to a parade of the three branches of the armed forces, which took place at Lisbon's Terreiro de Paço square.

Portugal Day, a national holiday, is celebrated in the day of the death of the famous Portuguese poet Luis Vaz de Camoes in 1580.
