EUROMARFOR has been activated in support of operation EUNAVFOR ATALANTA, on its 52^st rotation, it is the fourth consecutive activation that shows the close cooperation and mutual understanding between the EUROPEAN UNION and EUROMARFOR.

This operation is being developed on board the Italian Frigate BIANCHI and the Spanish frigate CANARIAS under the command of a multinational staff leaded by Italy with Rear Admiral Daniele Martinuzzy.

Until the end of this rotation, EUROMARFOR will contribute to safeguard area stability, prevent, deter and repress piracy, protect UN World Food Programme vessels, and prevent arms, drugs or other illicit trafficking.
